The showdown of the 2024 season in foil style and tow-in is coming up. This weekend, the Freestyle Pro Tour will crown its champions in both disciplines at the Tropical Corner on Lake Geneva.

The first day was somewhat reminiscent of last year's edition of the event, when the wind signalled the start of the foil style discipline, but didn't really hold. Nevertheless, there was plenty of (tow-in) action on the water and the cityscape of Geneva was adorned with freestyle moves during a few warm-up rounds.

Pioneer of the discipline Balz Müller is finally looking to make a name for himself in the foilstyle competition rankings. The Swiss rider, who has yet to take part in a foilstyle competition on the Freestyle Pro Tour, is bringing a whole host of new tricks with him to Geneva. He recently released videos of a new Kono Diablo rotation, as well as double-popped culos and burners, which he performs in a very relaxed manner. It's no secret that Balz is in a league of his own in this discipline, but without competition experience, will he be able to deliver like he does in free foil style?

As both foil style and tow-in are planned for the coming days, the schedule will be flexible depending on the wind direction. The Tow-In qualifiers, of which there are two rounds, are scheduled for Friday and Saturday evening, with the grand final on Sunday. All competitions will be streamed live on the Website and the YouTube channel transferred to the FPT.
