The FPT tour stops are classified in a star system from zero to ten and divided into three series. The upcoming contest in Podersdorf am Neusiedlersee (with one star) falls under the "Proving Ground Series", which forms the foundation of the pyramid and includes events with 0-5 stars and offers prize money of up to 5,000 euros as well as a maximum of 100 points for the overall ranking. Even with "only" one star, the event promises exciting freestyle action and a weekend party atmosphere for participants and spectators.
The event starts on Friday, 16 May, with the Riders Meeting at 15:00. Interested participants who have not yet registered can do so either in advance by e-mail (jo@freestyleprotour.com) or directly on site. Late registrants also have the option of registering at the Riders Meeting on Saturday morning at 8.30 am. The flexibility of the registration process means that even those who decide at short notice can take part in the contest.
As part of the FPT Proving Grounds Series, the event follows the official judging criteria of the Freestyle Pro Tour. This guarantees a professional level of competition and allows participants to compete under tour-like conditions. The support of FPT judges ensures that the judging is carried out according to the current standards of the freestyle scene. For many participants, this should be a valuable experience with a view to possible future participation in higher-class FPT events.
In addition to the sporting action, the organisers are also providing an attractive supporting programme. There will be after-parties on both days of the event, Friday and Saturday. These will be accompanied by DJs and promise a great atmosphere for participants and spectators alike. The support provided by the Born2Beach crew suggests a professional organisation and an exuberant atmosphere. Detailed information on the organisation of the parties will follow shortly.
