Lennart Neubauer won the first Foilstyle event in Vieste in 2023 - this year's event is also already secured
With Bonaire and the Surf Opening at Lake Neusiedl, two cult events of the freestyle tour are cancelled. Instead, there is an upgrade for the contest in Vieste.

14 events were on the Freestyle Pro Tour (FPT) calendar, but now the organisers led by Adam Sims have had to cancel two contests. Both the 8-star event on Bonaire, which was supposed to start on 14 April, and the Surf Opening on Lake Neusiedl in Austria have been cancelled. Unfortunately, the efforts of the local organisers at both locations were in vain. In Podersdorf, a pure tow-in contest was under discussion for a while, but according to the FPT's announcement, attempts are still being made to organise a different type of event at the planned times (30 April to 5 May).

At the same time, the FPT announced that the event in Vieste, Italy is confirmed and will be the first contest with all three disciplines Freestyle, Foilstyle and Tow In. There will also be a separate junior contest. Last year there was a fantastic livestream from Vieste, which is also planned for this year.

The events in Geneva and Naxos have also been officially confirmed, while there is still no new information for Brouwersdam, Vesoul and the final. The German Freestyle Battles with the event at the Surf Festival and stand-up contests in Lemkenhafen and Meldorf are also part of the FPT, as is the Danish Open.
