On a thrilling final day, Brawzinho secures the World Championship title, Ricardo Campello once again has to come to terms with a second place and Sarah Hauser makes a brilliant comeback. We have the best pictures and scenes!

Unfortunately, there was no livestream on Friday, the last day of the Maui Strong Aloha Classic. The highlight clips and images from the last day of the 2023 wave season were eagerly awaited. The results are known: Ricardo Campello was eliminated by Kai Lenny, making Marcilio Browne the 2023 Wave World Champion, while the winner of the Aloha Classic is Antoine Martin, who won the single elimination the weekend before last and didn't have to intervene in the action on Friday.

The conditions off Hookipa were at the lower limit, the wind was sometimes just enough to push out. As a result, neither the men's nor the women's second round could be completed. Sarah Hauser, who put in a brilliant performance and ended up in third place, could theoretically have moved up even further. From last place to the podium, a spectacular race to catch up.

In the last waves of the day, the grand masters were allowed to take to the water once again, seven men in their prime took to the water together. Every wave in the set was ridden, with big aerials and radical cutbacks on show. Jeff Henderson, the head of Hot Sails Maui, started with a very good wave score and took the lead, soon followed by another solid ride combining aerials and turns. In the end, however, shape legend Keith Teboul won with an outstanding wave on which he showed a high aerial and his classic surf carves. Paul Karaolides, one half of Fish Bowl Diaries , was right behind and took 3rd place.
