If the organisers were asked for a desired scenario for the surf festival, it probably wouldn't look much different to the 2025 festival that ended yesterday: sometimes light wind, sometimes lots of wind, plus plenty of sunshine and around 35,000 visitors in a great mood. Even a little rain on the morning of the final day couldn't dampen the mood, but rather fell into the "welcome refreshment" category.
Almost 1000 testers tried out the latest equipment from over 40 exhibitors, but the 23rd edition of the surf festival also had a lot to offer non-surfers and newcomers. The German Armed Forces offered 110 adults a free windsurfing taster course. Exactly 100 children took part in the free beginners' taster courses for kids up to the age of 14 organised by Dennis Müller and the Saltwater surf shops over four days. So the interest is huge, the next generation of windsurfers is waiting in the wings!
With the Racer of the Sea and the German Freestyle Battles, the experts were also able to show almost the entire spectrum of windsurfing, and the dance floor and bars were always packed at the parties, as was the Beach Camp, which was expanded again this year!
