Fabian Wolf put in an exceptional performance at the California Summer Opening Sylt 2026. Wolf won thirteen of the fourteen races and dominated the regatta from the first to the last day. On the final day, five more races were held in the foiling discipline, meaning that a total of fourteen foil races took place at this tour stop of the California Windsurf Cup. Wolf even took three first places in the end and won with an ideal score of 7.0. The top riders confirmed their placings once again on this last day of competition, meaning that despite exciting races on the water, there were no more changes in the standings at the top.
Lars Poggemann only showed some weaknesses at the beginning of the regatta, but he was able to overcome them. He then got into his stride more and more and even managed a second place in the end. With 20.0 points, he was in second place at the end of the event. Anton Richter took third place with 25.7 points. Keno Recke continued to defend fourth place with 36.0 points. In the youngster duel for fifth place between Mika Henning and Paul Regber, Henning narrowly won with 54.0 points against Regber with 56.0 points.
With his third place in the overall ranking, Anton Richter also won the Youth U21 ranking ahead of Jesper-Mo Thomsen and Lia Franke. The Youth U19 classification also proved to be an unofficial ranking of the best of the Olympic iQFOiL state squad of the Schleswig-Holstein Sailing Association. Paul Regber won ahead of his training partners Noah Schmäh and Philipp Köhlert. Mika Henning won the junior U17 category ahead of Lena Schmäh, who was beaten by Lia Franke in the women's duel.
