Until now, there were still a few question marks in the DWC calendar for 2026, but now, according to the Choppy Water agency, all the dates have been finalised! The event will kick off on the first weekend in May in Kühlungsborn on the Baltic Sea. A legendary competition format is to be revived there with the North One Hour.
The programme for the coming season also includes the Summer Opening on Sylt on the Whitsun weekend and the German Championships at the end of July. The event in St. Peter-Ording has also already been confirmed for next year, with the IFCA Foil European Championship being held at the same time. There will also be a race weekend on the Baltic Sea in Pelzerhaken at the end of the season.
For the two events on Sylt and the Cup in St. Peter-Ording, there is again the chance of a wave alarm, depending on the conditions, and there will also be a stand-by option for another competition.
Some of the ProAm Cups have also already been finalised for the coming year: there will be two trips to Lake Garda and a regatta in Wesermünde.
The ProAm Cups are aimed at regatta newcomers who want to gain their first experience with a professional setup and can also compete with some more experienced racers. The competitions are organised by local surf clubs and take place at beginner-friendly spots.
