Over 40 female windsurfers took part in the fourth edition of Girls on Tour in Pozo. Under the guidance of pros such as Daida Moreno and Sarah-Quita Offringa, the participants improved their skills in the challenging conditions of the legendary World Cup spot on Gran Canaria.

After the end of the World Cup in Gran Canaria, over 40 female windsurfers came together in Pozo for the fourth edition of Girls on Tour. The event, created by Pauline Katz, offered women of all skill levels the opportunity to learn from world-class athletes and push their limits together. From intermediates mastering the notorious conditions of Pozo for the first time to advanced riders honing their forward loops, Girls on Tour created a unique atmosphere of mutual support and progression.

After a meeting at the statue of Daida Moreno, the participants split into smaller groups. Under the guidance of Daida Moreno herself as well as Sarah-Quita Offringa, Justyna Sniady, Sol Degrieck and Pauline Katz, the windsurfers received individual coaching. The focus was on basic skills such as overcoming the infamous Pozo shore break, reading the spot, jumping techniques and wave riding. The presence of these top female athletes enabled the participants to benefit from years of experience and expertise.

Events like this show how much women's windsurfing is evolving!" (Pauline Katz)

"The atmosphere on the beach was electrifying. You could see beaming faces everywhere, hear cheers from the shore and feel the shared enthusiasm," said a delighted Pauline Katz. She was delighted with how the event developed: "Events like this are crucial for women's windsurfing. The energy was incredible - everyone challenged themselves, supported the others and simply enjoyed their time together on the water. The atmosphere at a women's event is always unique, and to see over 40 women surfing in challenging conditions shows how much women's windsurfing is evolving."
