The IWT has presented the calendar for the 2024 Wave Tour, so there will still be a joint tour with the PWA. The PWA itself has not yet released any information on this. As this year, a large number of events around the globe are on the schedule, which are categorised according to size and importance in a star system. Only the contests with four or five stars are likely to be relevant for the World Championship title:
The World Cup in Tenerife is therefore returning for the first time since 2019, although the exact dates have not yet been finalised. The Fiji event has been moved to September, otherwise the tour looks similar to 2023, but experience shows that the calendar can still change if events are on shaky ground for financial or political reasons. However, the riders wanted the stops to be confirmed at least two months in advance in order to have planning certainty.
In addition to the major events, there are also a number of three-star cups on the programme:
A five-star Youth World Cup is also planned for 16-21 January in Geraldton, Australia.
The events are also divided into tours for each continent with separate rankings. In addition to the major contests, two German North Sea events in May and October are on the programme for Europe as "on call" events, i.e. at variable spots depending on the conditions. These will presumably be regattas of the German Wave Tour act.
