There can't be enough windsurfing camps for children. In May, Dennis Müller organised a kids' camp on Norderney as a free event. The second edition will take place in September.

Vincent Langer was a pioneer with his kids' camps on the Baltic Sea and trained numerous young regatta surfers. Windsurfing coach and globetrotter Dennis Müller took his camp in his adopted home of Norderney even further down to the grass roots. With the help of local sponsors such as Insular, Surfcafe and Stadtwerke, Dennis was able to organise the camp completely free of charge. "For me, it's important that every water sports enthusiast can pursue windsurfing without any financial outlay," says Dennis, who is now also a coach for the next generation of German foil surfers.

Not only windsurfing was on the agenda for the Norderney kids, there was also an extensive programme in calm conditions. During the SUP competitions on the large team boards, there was even a children's champagne shower at the subsequent award ceremony, and the children worked up a good sweat during the morning fitness training session.

But of course it was primarily about windsurfing, for which Dennis and the surf instructors from the Norderney surf school were able to inspire enthusiasm in perfect conditions. It is therefore not surprising that thenext Kids-Camp on Norderney is already being planned. It is to be realised by23 to 25 Septemberwill take place.
