After a start with crisp Ora at the ProAm WSA Slalom Cups in Torbole, the second day brought somewhat more relaxed conditions. At the end of the weekend, there were twelve foiling races and eleven fin slalom races. The season opener on Lake Garda counted as a ranking regatta for the German Windsurfing Association and for the iQFOiL ranking list of the German Windsurfing Association. The Circolo Surf Torbole organised the event in cooperation with Windsurfing Austria.
Daniele Benedetti and Bruno Martini dominated the foiling field. Both Italians won six of the twelve races. In the end, they were tied with exactly 8.2 points. The tie-breaker had to bring the decision. Benedetti had the better stringer and thus ousted Martini from the top spot on the final day. Noah Vinther from Denmark followed in third place with 19 points. Giacomo Barro and Croatian Mistral Matulja completed the top five. "I'm really happy to be back on the podium after a long time," commented Bendetti on his victory via Instagram. "I haven't had much time to train recently, but this result means a lot to me." Among other things, his post shows a close duel with Martini - including a crash.
