In Switzerland, the iQFoil Games came to an end without any medal races - the wind did not allow for fair races. Andy Brown won the men's event, while Finn Hawkins took the U23 title, and Tamar Steinberg won both categories in the women's event.

"The race committee, prioritising the integrity of the sport and the safety of the athletes, made the difficult decision to leave the sailors ashore," said the iQFoil class on the final day of the iQFoil Games on Lake Silvaplana. "Rather than risk the races being unfair due to the difficult wind conditions, the committee decided to preserve the fairness of the competition by cancelling the final races."

After the 17 heats that were held over the first six days of the event, the ranking thus also represented the final ranking: Britain's Andy Brown emerged as the undisputed leader in the men's race. Hot on his heels was his compatriot and training partner Finn Hawkins, who also secured the U23 World Championship title. The exceptionally talented 17-year-old Leonardo Tomasini from Italy came third in the iQFoil Games and was runner-up in the U23 World Championships. Bronze went to New Zealander Eli Liefting.

The best German starter was Jakob Ditzen in 42nd place, Max Körner was 47th and Lenny Friemel 64th, with Tjalve Böttger and Kevin Rosken in a one-two finish in 89th and 90th place, just ahead of Max Winkler in 92nd place.

Tamar Steinberg wins twice

In the women's event, Israel's Tamar Steinberg not only celebrated her 18th birthday during the regatta, but also the overall victory and the U23 World Championship. Hot on her heels were the Norwegian duo Maya Gysler and Tuva Oppedal, who not only secured second and third place respectively, but also proved that fierce competition on the water does not stand in the way of a close friendship on land.

Sophia Meyer, runner-up in the U19 iQFoil Youth World Championships, also put in a strong performance in Switzerland with 18th place, and the Berlin-based rider also achieved some top ten results.
