surf Magazin is a partner of the Windsurfing Hall of Fame, and founder Uli Stanciu and editor-in-chief Andreas Erbe have also been inducted. Last year, the special category "Events" was created to honour the World Cup Sylt and the long-standing organisers Matthias Neumann and Birgit Ballhause. The WHOF was founded by Jonathan Weston and is now led by Cliff Webb as Executive Director. Numerous legends from all over the world are involved in the nomination and honouring process. The criteria for inclusion in the "Windsurfing Hall of Fame" are straightforward: candidates must be over 50 years old and at least 60% of the voting committee must vote for them. Last year there was a celebration at Defi Wind for the first time, and the new members may also be honoured in person again!
