The Citroën Windsurf World Cup Sylt 2024 is the 40th edition of what is now the biggest windsurfing event in the world. As always, numerous top stars come to Westerland, cheered on by thousands of spectators on the promenade. From the raging North Sea with extremely challenging conditions to late summer beach life, the World Cup has everything to offer.
In 2024, Sylt will decide who will be the new freestyle world champion. Lennart Neubauer, a top talent of German descent, has the best chance of winning the title for the first time. Lina Erpenstein is also dreaming of this in women's wave riding. Although the world title will not be awarded until the end of October on Maui, the doctor-to-be can take a big step towards becoming world champion on Sylt. Philip Köster is coming to Sylt in fourth place in the world rankings and is definitely one of the crowd favourites. The foil racers will also be at the start, where two Germans, Michele Becker and Nico Prien, are also in the top ten.
