Vincent Langer's Kids Camp has become an institution. For many years, he has been supporting young regatta sailors in Grönwohld on Eckernförde Bay. Current top sailors such as Michele Becker, the Richter brothers and Mats van Holten have all attended the Kids Camps. Today, some of them are back as coaches for the next generation.

In the first week of August, the next generation of German windsurfers once again travelled to Grönwohld on Eckerförder Bay for the most popular windsurfing camp of the year. 50 children and young people from all over Germany travelled to improve their windsurfing skills and learn the latest tricks and trends. Ten professional coaches, all of whom have regatta experience, organised training sessions on the water and on land. Of course, the focus is on having fun. The children are between 7 and 17 years old and receive personalised training to guarantee the best possible learning success. In addition to windsurfing, the kids' camp also included beach and water games such as water polo, SUP challenges, foosball, board, sailing and foil theory as well as games to get to know each other better and form a team.

World record set

A particular highlight this year was the setting of a new world record. The longest chain of connected windsurfers to date was 70. The participants and organisers thought it must be possible to beat that. No sooner said than done - the old record was easily beaten with a chain of 71 windsurfers.
