Nick Spangenberg: 3 things you'd like to steal from other surfers?Photo: Axel Reese
As a young windsurfing pro from Staufenberg in Hesse, Nick Spangenberg has made it to the best spots in the world.
As a young up-and-coming pro, you naturally look up to the big names. In our series, Nick Spangenberg reveals what he would like to steal from other riders!

Nick, if you could take three skills or characteristics from other riders, what would they be?

I would definitely want to steal Flo Jung's organisational skills. Flo is simply perfect at managing his professional career and marketing himself. This is a particular strength of his that gives him a wide reach and many opportunities. His structure and efficiency are simply impressive.

As a wave pro, what else would you like?

I would love to take over Englishman Robby Swift's place of residence on Maui, Hawaii. Maui is the mecca of windsurfing and living there would open many doors to improve as a wave rider and get to world class level. The waves there are legendary and the conditions are perfect almost all year round. Hawaii is simply every wave rider's dream.

And what would be your third "steal"?

Brawzinho comes to mind, especially when it comes to high jumps in strong winds. He shows no fear at all and simply has incredible confidence and technique. I often think too much in such conditions, which sometimes slows me down. Brawzinho's composure and confidence in strong winds and big jumps would definitely be an asset to me.
