From Germany to Switzerland and Austria, from the Netherlands to Belgium and Luxembourg - the Ocean Film Tour takes all interested parties to the ocean at a total of 150 events. This year, the film event is focussing on important and, in some cases, stirring topics.
The filmmakers accompany completely different people, such as 17-year-old Ben Neumann from Munich, who, although he is blind, never misses an opportunity to surf Munich's famous Eisbach wave. The Power of Activism" is about three Australian environmentalists and "Stolen Fish" is about three people from Gambia who live from fishing but are struggling with overfishing on their coast.

- The Power of Activism Activism in numbers: Australians Madison Stewart, Jordyn de Boer and Alice Forrest are committed to environmental protection out of conviction. But how can their commitment to the environment, the oceans and their inhabitants be quantified? Together with an economic mathematician, the activists attempt to calculate the financial value of their environmental projects.
- No Limits With its special audiovisual aesthetic, "No Limits" shows us that surf films are not shot by the sea and that the heroes do not have to be clichéd surfers. The 17-year-old blind surfer Ben impressively shows the world while playfully gliding over Munich's Eisbach wave: sport really knows no limits.
- George and the Whales The whale is good! George from Tonga came to this realisation on his first day as a whale watching guide. In "George & the Whales", he talks about his new love for whales and how the ocean giants have revitalised his life and the entire island nation.
- Sweet Adventure The thing about adventures is that you have to be open to them. And surfers Albee Layer, Nora Vasconcellos and Matt Meola are definitely open to action and the unknown after a long time on the couch at home. Together they are travelling to El Salvador for the surfing adventure of the year.
- Facing Monsters No risk, no fun could be the motto of Australian big wave surfer Kerby Brown. But it's not that simple - for Kerby, big wave surfing is the reason he doesn't crash. He can't help but throw himself into the biggest and most dangerous waves again and again. In "Facing Monsters", we find out how Kerby struggles not only with the waves, but also with himself.
- Stolen Fish There are hardly any fish left in the sea off the coast of The Gambia. The reason: illegal trawl boats are fishing on a large scale to supply foreign fishmeal factories. Through the stories of fishermen Paul, Abou and fishmonger Mariama, "Stolen Fish" explores the causes of stagnant development in West Africa and the desire of some Gambians for a better life in Europe.
