Tobago, here we come! The big freeride test in the Caribbean flat-water paradise will also take place in 2026. This year, you can have your say on what exactly should be tested there. In the survey below, you can choose from our suggestions or make your own.
* For board and sail groups, please select only the preferred size.
The guidelines come from the area and the time frame: The spot at Pigeon Point on Tobago offers mostly flat water and bump & jump conditions, the wind almost always blows suitably for sails between 5.8 and 8.0 square metres. Ideal for freemove, freeride and freerace material. A total of three weeks are available for the test, and in addition to time on the water, photo shoots and detailed discussions are also on the agenda.
The final selection of test groups is then also made against the background of where there are exciting new products, which groups have already been extensively tested in recent years and where the demand on the windsurfing market is greatest.
In addition to boards and sails, we always scrutinise a whole range of accessories in the surf test: from harnesses and surf shoes to light straps and sun hats, there are plenty of things to try out "on the side".
