For all kids who want to get a taste of windsurfing, there is once again the Saltwater Kids Camp in cooperation with surf and the VDWS, supported by Bauck Mühle Müsli and Waterkant. Experienced surf instructors and surf editors Manuel Vogel and Julian Wiemar will introduce the youngsters to their first steps on the board and try to light the fire for the best sport in the world! Thursday to Saturday at 10:00 and 12:00, registration on site at Saltwater. For all advanced kids and teenagers, Dennis Müller's Kids Camp will be running parallel to the Surf Festival!
And because windsurfing can of course be learnt at any age, the festival partner, the German Armed Forces, will be offering free surfing courses for everyone aged 16 and over throughout the weekend. You can take a taster course with the instructors from the Heidkate surf school on a total of ten dates! Register directly on site with the Bundeswehr!
Exclusively for surf subscribers, this year there will be live coaching sessions with the experts from the surf editorial team. Manuel Vogel and Julian Wiemar will explain everything about harness surfing and planing on the beach and on the water and give you helpful tips! We will show you the perfect settings for power-saving surfing and planing on your own equipment. The prerequisite is safe starting, tacking and upwind running. For the price of 35 euros you will also receive a festival T-shirt!
Stephan Gölnitz's second coaching session is an equipment workshop all about rig trim: in addition to tips on the perfect trim, we will help you set up your own equipment and get the most out of it! The surf test leader will answer your equipment questions and show you tuning options! This coaching session costs 15.00 euros and there is also a festival shirt for all participants!
As we can only offer limited places for both coaching sessions, please register by e-mail to i.kipp@delius-klasing.de required (subject "surf-Coaching", don't forget your customer number and mobile phone number)
You can also meet the editors at the surf stand and ask us questions! There will also be some workshops on the beach stage - you can read more about them here soon!
