The Pure Wave Learnival invites wave windsurfers to Maceió, Brazil, from 8 to 15 November 2025. The spot on the north-east coast is considered one of the easiest wave spots in the country and offers perfect conditions for beginners and advanced surfers alike. Under the guidance of experienced World Cup pro and long-time coach Axel Pielenz, participants can expect an intensive week of learning directly on one of the most beautiful beaches in north-east Brazil.
Ideal conditions for all levels
Maceió scores with constant side-offshore winds and a gently sloping sandy beach. Even without swell, clean waves of around 1 to 1.5 metres in height form here. With swell, the waves can grow up to 2 metres - ideal conditions for honing your technique and style. The lack of wind cover ensures reliable conditions so that participants from beginners to pros can be optimally supported.
Intensive coaching and supporting programme
The Learnival concept is based on a combination of intensive training and an inspiring supporting programme. Participants receive four hours of coaching from Axel Pielenz over six days. The experienced trainer picks up each participant exactly where they are - whether it's their first turns in the wave or the targeted improvement of their personal level. Off the water, a varied programme provides inspiration and networking among the participants.
Accommodation and arrival
There are four cosy pousadas to choose from for accommodation. We particularly recommend the charming Villa Zen and the Pousada Coco Cabana, both of which are located in the immediate vicinity of the windsurfing centre. The central location allows short distances to the spot and creates a pleasant atmosphere for the group. Those interested are advised to consider an extra week to consolidate what they have learnt and explore the region further.
