"No windsurfers were harmed during the filming!" you could write - apart from a few bruises and scratches, everyone got off lightly. The PWA season not only offered fantastic action, but also one or two gnarly finishes. Loss of control while foiling, major skidding crashes in Slalom X, heavy washes and take-offs while wave riding and freestyle.

The strong wind contests in Pozo and on Fuerte were particularly predestined for this. Philip Köster's finish in the wave final on Gran Canaria, which ended in a jogging session over the rocks, was particularly memorable. The epic final day on Sylt also offered a number of powerful washes.
