The Slalom World Cup for juniors on Bonaire has been postponed by one day and will now take place from 21 to 25 May. The pros will not continue until the end of June in Pozo, while the first two Wave World Cups in Japan and Chile have already been completed. These are the World Cups for the rest of the year - from Wave and Freestyle to Slalom and the new discipline Slalom X.
The events in Tenerife and New Caledonia have not yet been confirmed, and the entire calendar is described as "provisional". Experience has shown that events are often cancelled during the course of the year due to a lack of funds or political uncertainties.
In addition to the already well-known wave events, the many Junior Word Cups stand out, with a small tour of the Caribbean in May. Alacati and Klitmøller are now firmly established as junior regattas. As expected, the new Slalom X discipline is initially scheduled for Pozo and Fuerte, while Foil Slalom will be held at a total of five regattas. The freestylers will once again have to make do with just two World Cups (Fuerte, Sylt).
