For statistics fans: The PWA Constructors' World Championship shows the board and sail brands that scored the most points. In 2023, Starboard and NeilPryde came out on top.

For the first time since 2011, the same brand won the constructors' world championships in slalom, wave riding and freestyle: there was no way around Starboard in 2023, with the boards from Svein Rasmussen's brand carrying Matteo Iachino, Blanca Alabau and Sarah-Quita Offringa to their world championship titles in wave riding and freestyle. Goya rider Marcilio Browne took the men's title in wave riding, but with Anoine Martin there was also a Starboard team rider in the top 3!

Among the sail manufacturers, NeiPryde 2023 is at the top of the overall ranking. With Sarah-Quita Offringa and Yentel Caers, both freestyle world champions sail with the bullseye, and the slalom team with Nico Prien, Enrico Marotti and Bruno Martini was also very strong last season. Nevertheless, Severne, the brand of the two world champions Iachino and Alabau, is in the lead in the slalom ranking, while Goya is in first place in wave riding. His surfing CV includes all the famous choppy water spots: As a teenager, he went from his home in Münsterland to the Ijsselmeer or the Brouwersdam, and during his civilian service on Sylt, after countless washes on the west side, the Königshafen became his preferred spot. After studying in Kiel and Heidkate, he was supposed to go to Hamburg “only for a short time”, but this short time has lasted for over ten years and has made him a “weekend warrior”. He goes on tour with his family and camper van as often as possible, often to the Baltic Sea, SPO or Denmark, but also likes to go to Finland, Sweden or Sardinia.
