Unfortunately, there is bad news from the PWA, as the Slalom World Cup planned for October 2022 has had to be cancelled. The PWA is not talking about a "cancellation" but a "postponement" - but the result is the same: No slalom competition on Lake Garda in 2022!
Background: The drivers' association PWA(Professional Windsurfers Association)does not usually organise the World Cups itself, but in cooperation with local partners who take care of financing, the set-up on land and coordination with the local authorities. If unforeseen problems arise here, the PWA usually only has the option of cancelling the event.
We can only hope that there will finally be PWA races on Lake Garda again in 2023; the World Cup is planned for the second half of May.
