The storm depression, which has been making the entire North Sea coast happy these days, also provided top conditions for the various age groups on Klitmøller's mussel reef: Classic Cold Hawaii conditions with strong south-westerly winds and waves up to two metres high, short periods of sunshine and heavy rain showers. A result has already been achieved in each of the four classes, with a Gobisch in the top three everywhere.
The day started with the skippers' meeting at 12:00 noon at Surfklubben NASA, when promising waves were already forming, but the wind was not yet sufficient until it shifted to a solid side-offshore direction around 1:00 pm. The U21 girls were the first to take to the water. Right from the start, the participants showed impressive forward loops and clean wave rides. After two intense rounds, Bobbi-Lynn de Jong from Bonaire came out on top of the field. Trine Gobisch took second place, followed by her compatriot Helena Lale in third.
Next up were the U15 boys. In this age group, the competition was extremely close with constantly changing positions. Italy's Liam Calo ultimately secured victory ahead of the two German participants Mika Henning and Anton Gobisch, who took second and third place.
With the wind picking up and the waves getting better and better, the boys took to the water in the U18 category. The heats were characterised by intense action - from material problems to impressive jumps, everything was there. In a surprising result, Denmark's Emil Skov Nielsen secured victory and took the lead in the overall standings. His compatriot Bjørn Olesen followed in second place, while Peter Gobisch and Poland's Adam Kelar took third and fourth place. The Danish locals made the most of their home advantage, with Emil Skov Nielsen in particular putting in a remarkable performance that not only earned him victory on the day, but also the overall lead.
The final heats of the day belonged to the U21 boys. Valters Videnieks from Lithuania, who was seeded third, found the right waves and showed the best manoeuvres to take victory ahead of his friend and rival, Anton Richter, who was seeded second. Third and fourth place went to Hannes Gobisch and Arthur Kahrs. Gobisch and winner Videnieks provided the eye-catcher of the day: the two jumped a perfectly synchronised backloop!

A bitter moment for the home fans was the withdrawal of Klitmøller local Tobias Bjørnaa due to injury. He had to withdraw from the competition due to an injury and will probably have to take a break for the rest of the year, prematurely ending his hopes of winning the world title in 2025.
Today, Tuesday, the WA Youth & Junior World Cup is expected to head to Middles in Hanstholm. The forecast still promises plenty of wind and a solid swell - stay tuned!
