Racer of the Sea: Green light for One Hour Event at Lake Dümmer

After two weekends in the standby phase, the decision has been made: the first ROTS & WOTS One Hour event at Lake Dümmer in Hüde will take place this Saturday. The organisers have given the green light for the premiere of the new format, which will also take place in the DGerman Windsurf Cup will be revived this year. Windsurfers can take part in the Techno293, Windsurfer LT, Raceboard, iQFOiL including Youth and Junior, Formula Foil Slalom and every conceivable freeride and fun board. Wingfoilers are also welcome in the slalom and racing disciplines. Concept of the One Hour format

The One Hour format differs from classic regatta formats due to its compact structure. Short distances between the starting area and the competition zone allow for a quick process. The uncomplicated participation does away with time-consuming pre-registration and complex regulations. Maximum action on the water takes centre stage, and every participant can also look forward to plenty of time on the water. The organisers attach great importance to combining community, fun and competition. This approach is intended to appeal to both experienced regatta sailors and beginners who want to gain their first competitive experience.
