In the shadow of the Lüderitz Speed Challenge, the third and final part of the Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge 2025 came to an end at the end of November. In contrast to the action on the canal in Namibia, anyone can take part in the Dunki Challenge at their home spot - all they need is a suitable GPS device.
The third period of the year was all about the best speed over 250 metres. In the open category, the pros in Nambinia came out on top - their training days at Diaz Point, the speed spot on the open sea near the canal, produced the highest speeds. Nils Bach was the fastest there, ahead of Vincent Valkenaers and Gunnar Asmussen.
The best speed for the women was also achieved at Diaz Point, where Heidi Ulrich travelled at 43.52 knots and completed the double victory for the Patrik team. Her rival Jenna Gibson in second place had her 250 metre top speed in West Kirby near Liverpool.
Daniel Dunkerbeck won the Junior category, the best Grand Master (51-60) was Jim Crossley and the best Super Master was the German Uwe-Sören Schmidt. In the Ultimate Masters (71-99), the top score went to Alexander Sosnin from the USA, while Florian Madec won on the foil.
