GPS is used to determine the speed of the participants and, depending on the wind direction and strength, courses of 250 metres or 500 metres in length are run. The focus is on the average speed. The fastest two runs of each surfer will be counted in each race. It starts on 31 August at 13:00, after which races are possible daily between 8:00 and 19:00 until 7 September.
Gunnar Asmussen, the 2022 winner, has already registered, and Andrers Björkqvist from Sweden is planning to come to Fehmarn. If there is not enough wind at the beginning of September, the race will be moved to October.
