Michael Naumann leads the VDS annual rankings, winning both events in Suhrendorf and on Fehmarn. Behind him was Manfred Fuchs with a second and a fifth place, followed by Matthias Popp with two third places. Gila Steinbacher was the only female starter to win the VDS women's competition.
In the rankings, including the guest starters, Marion Neuling is ahead of Gila Steinbacher in the women's race, followed by Luisa Kolmer in third place. The top 3 in the men's race remains identical, with Valentin Sabath the first guest in fifth place.
The dates of the VDS Speed Regattas 2024
The following dates have already been communicated for the new year:
- 20-21 April: Hüde/Dümmer See
- 23-26 May: Suhrendorf/Rügen
- 17-18 August: Dorum/Weser
- 31 Aug - 7 Sept: Orth/Fehmarn
- 3-6 October: Orth/Fehmarn (alternative date)
Various ranking factors will be applied, and the event on Fehmarn is also the international German championship, where fun races are also planned. If there is not enough wind at the beginning of September, the event will be moved to October.
