Speedjäger Fehmarn is getting a spin-off: Speedjäger Germany will extend the concept of the GPS event to the whole of Germany, with spots in other countries also eligible for the ranking. Mike Henschel, Holger Nürnberg and Manfred Fuchs run the portal "wassersportverrückt.de", where the GPS feed event "Speedjäger Fehmarn" has been running since 2021. This year will see the addition of "Speedjäger Germany", which is intended to be the successor to the German Speed Battle. "Both events aim to promote and develop water sports in the classes of speed windsurfing/foiling, speed kiting/kitefoiling and speed wingfoiling on the various waters of Germany and Europe and to bring water sports enthusiasts in these classes together," write the organisers.

The focus is particularly on promoting young people. The organisers want to make it particularly easy for beginners. They have created a guide on the website under "Registration/Instructions" that explains the individual steps for taking part.

The rankings for both fun speed events run from January to December each year, meaning that speeders can compete all year round on the various waters of Germany and Europe. Anyone who has already tracked good times with the GS in 2024 can also upload them retrospectively until the end of April.
