Surf Live: Beach and water starts – new live webinar on 7 October
Beach and water starts are meant to make windsurfing easier, but they can sometimes be quite a struggle. Find out which tricks will help you master the launch in this webinar.

Letting yourself be pulled effortlessly from the sail onto the board, without the hassle of hauling in the sail – beach and water starts are milestones in a windsurfer’s life. However, it is the set-up of the equipment in particular that repeatedly causes major problems: a lack of orientation, incorrect equipment set-up and “brute force rather than technique” sometimes drive windsurfers to despair.

The upcoming live webinar will focus on precisely these issues. surf editor Manuel Vogel will explain how to position your equipment correctly for the start, which warm-up exercises are useful, which combinations of equipment are an absolute no-go, and which typical mistakes you should definitely avoid. As always, you can expect a mix of demonstrations and video clips to highlight the key points. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask their own questions, which will then be answered live.

The live webinar starts on 7 October at 7.00 pm and lasts around 60 minutes. If you are unable to attend at that time, you can still watch the webinar for four weeks afterwards and submit questions at a later date. It costs 20 euros to take part; surf subscribers receive a 25 per cent discount and pay just 15 euros. You can register HERE from now on.
