The next live webinar will take place at the end of August. Once again, it will feature tips on technique, equipment set-up and common mistakes made whilst practising.

On 26 August 2026 at 7.00 pm, it’s that time again – live from P5 in Kiel, we’ll be bringing you the best tips straight to your sofa. Specifically, we’ll be looking at the transition from the basic jibe to the power jibe. Hardly any other manoeuvre preoccupies as many windsurfers as the (smooth) jibe. The fact that it doesn’t always go to plan and that progress can sometimes stall is down to a variety of factors: choosing the wrong equipment can hold you back just as much as technical errors. That’s why surf editor Manuel Vogel not only shows you the riding technique tricks that will help you take the next step forward, but also gives you specific advice on choosing the ideal equipment and setting it up correctly.

As always, we’ll provide specific answers to any questions you may ask during the webinar. If you’re unable to attend the webinar at the scheduled time, you can still watch the recording afterwards and submit any individual questions – we’ll then answer them at a later date. Here are the key details about the webinar:

  • Subject: From a jibe to a power jibe
  • Contents: Choice of equipment & setup, technical tips for the basic jibe, transitioning from a basic jibe to a power jibe, common mistakes, preparatory exercises for light and strong winds, Q&A
  • Duration: approx. 60 minutes
  • Speaker: Manuel Vogel
  • Date: 26 August 2026, 7.00 pm
  • Price: 20 euros (surf subscribers receive a 25 per cent discount and pay just 15 euros)

By the way: the next windsurfing webinar will take place on 7 October 2026, and it’ll cover another really exciting topic – beach and water starts, the ideal starting technique, and tips for positioning your gear in the water. And there’s also a webinar in the pipeline for wingfoil fans in late summer: on 16 September 2026, you’ll get all the tips on tacking and jibing.
