Copyright: Oli Maier
What's the best way to stand on the board? How do I get into the straps elegantly when planing? How do I set up the harness and harness lines optimally? surf editor Manuel Vogel gives tips on riding technique and trim!

When the surf editors offer their workshops at the surf festival on Fehmarn, interested listeners gather around the stage. It's not unusual for them to go on for as long afterwards to answer individual questions from visitors. We bring you the workshops online - with surf LIVE! This winter, we will be focussing on windsurfing topics four times in total, and you can join us from home on your computer and ask questions.

Episode one is all about planing and harness surfing. Manuel Vogel shows you how to optimally prepare and set up your equipment. If things like boom height, length of the harness lines and sail trim are right, you're all the closer to planing. Manuel also has a few tips for you when it comes to riding technique and shows you the most common mistakes.

Of course you can submit questions concerning your personal setup during the tutorial!
