Wave sails have a maximally large target group: from wave cracks to beginners, all windsurfers will be happy with a 4.5. We have extensively tested nine brand new 2025 sails on the North and Baltic Seas. The focus was of course on the characteristics in the surf, but the differences in terms of wind range, trim and manoeuvrability are also exciting for every flat water surfer!
Threading the tampon onto the roller blocks of the extension is actually a simple matter, as your eyes and thoughts are usually already on the water. But finding the best option is not so easy, depending on the arrangement of the rollers. With a little brainpower, the rope can be threaded so elegantly that the trimming forces are noticeably lower and the sail can be trimmed "block to block". Stephan Gölnitz has tried out all the options for you and brings order to the rope chaos!
