Ten freeride sails from sporty to easy-turning, new Mediterranean spots, training tips for strong shoulders and much more: The June issue of surf is now in stores and comes with a variety of topics!

They are the favourite sails of most windsurfers: freeride sails without camber are comfortable and can even be really fast. In our big test on Tobago, we chased ten candidates between 6.9 and 7.3 square metres across the water and tested them for seam and thread. Because the test group was so heterogeneous, we differentiated within the test group between the more "racy" models and the more manoeuvre-oriented sails. There is guaranteed to be something for everyone!

The north of Sardinia is also very varied. "Everyone knows Porto Pollo!" remarked some editors when Chris Hafer came round the corner with his spot guide. But a few kilometres northwest of the cult spot, the wild coast of the island has much more to offer and, above all, many great spots!

We also take a look at the World Cup circus: Lina Erpenstein's first victory on the tour was just the icing on the cake at the event in Chile. The photographer duo Fish Bowl Diaries took so many spectacular pictures in Matanzas that we don't want to keep the best of them from you and show them in a large gallery! There's also a lot going on behind the scenes at the PWA: Nico Prien was elected as the new president of the drivers' association at the beginning of the year. He told us in an interview what his tasks are and what his plans are!

Also in the June issue of surf:

  • Test light loops: With a set of lightweight straps, you can save around half a kilo of weight on the board. The test of the six light products shows what this means in practice and whether comfort is also put on a diet
  • Training for a strong shoulder: The shoulder has to put up with a lot when windsurfing. Good training for this flexible joint protects against injuries and long-term damage
  • Nico Prien is the new PWA President: In an interview, Nico Prien and Michele Becker explain the innovations on the PWA Slalom and Foil Tour
  • Spot Guide Karpathos: The Greek island is known as a strong wind Eldorado. But there are also spots for comfort-conscious windsurfers. We'll show you all of them
  • 10 years of JaKlar: The somewhat different surf community celebrates its anniversary. Who and what is behind "JaKlar - positive vibes"?
  • Interview Harry Nass: Despite all the crises - Harry and Elke Nass are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their surf centres in Egypt. We look back with them on the highs and lows
