The Racer of the Sea (ROTS) aims to make it easier to get into regatta surfing, with regular camps organised as part of the ROTS Academy. This year, the 1001grad team behind the Racer of the Sea has teamed up with the reigning German champion Fabian Wolf. Together, they will be holding a one-day workshop on 29 May 2023 as part of the surf festival on Fehmarn, which is intended to provide newcomers to regattas with comprehensive support for their first participation in a regatta.
The ROTS Academy x Fabian Wolf promises participants a sound insight into the theoretical and practical aspects of regatta windsurfing. Fabian Wolf, one of Germany's most successful regatta surfers, will contribute his expert knowledge and provide participants with advice and support. A special highlight of the workshop is the practical part on the water, where participants will have the opportunity to train under the direct guidance of the German champion and receive immediate feedback.
In order to give the participants as authentic a regatta feeling as possible, the organisers have been able to secure renowned support from the industry. Starboard and Severne Germany are providing a limited amount of slalom equipment for testing. This enables participants to train with professional equipment and familiarise themselves with the differences to their usual equipment. The combination of expert knowledge and high-quality equipment should make the entry into the regatta scene as smooth as possible.
The ROTS Academy x Fabian Wolf is aimed at both absolute regatta beginners and surfers who have already gained some experience and want to improve their skills. The workshop offers an ideal platform to receive tips and tricks from the reigning German champion and at the same time familiarise yourself with the dynamics of a regatta event. Interested parties can register via the Website of 1001grad-events.de register for participation in the workshop.
