A special training group at Vincent Langer's Kids Camp aims to recruit young talent for the iQFOiL class
At Vincent Langer's Kids Camp, there will be a special transition training programme for iQFOiL for the first time. The aim is to bring young racing talent into the Olympic class.

The German Windsurfing Association (DWSV) is breaking new ground in the promotion of young talent. For the first time, the association is cooperating with Vincent Langer's almost legendary Windsurf Kids Camp to offer special iQFOiL training for the youth and junior categories and to introduce newcomers to the equipment.

Vincent Langer's Kids Camp will take place from 12 to 17 August 2025 in Kellenhusen on the Bay of Lübeck and is aimed at all advanced windsurfers between the ages of 7 and 19, as well as complete beginners for the first time this year. In addition to targeted training on the water and some theory, the programme also includes lots of activities on land, as always. The focus is on as many water hours as possible, regardless of the wind conditions. From light wind freestyle to wave and slalom, all areas of windsurfing are covered.

There will be a separate training group for the iQFOil youngsters, which is specially tailored to the class. The participants will have their own coach boat with experienced IQ coaches at their disposal. The participants will also gain insights into meteorology, material science and regatta tactics. This combination of theory and practice is intended to optimally prepare the young athletes for future competitions. With this co-operation, the DWSV aims to discover and recruit young talent for the iQFOiL class. The aim is to create a team and bring more children and young people onto the pre-Olympic regatta courses, according to the organisers

Ideal training conditions in Kellenhusen

The Kellenhusen venue offers ideal conditions for the camp. The surfing conditions with a small offshore sandbank and shallow water depth for the first few metres are suitable for all skill levels. The campsite is located outside the tourist area, which guarantees peace and safety for the participants. Sanitary facilities and showers are available on site.

The participation fee for DWSV members is 420 euros per person and includes full catering. There are no additional costs, which makes planning easier for participants and parents. Further information and registration at ger1.de or directly by e-mail to info@ger1.de!
