The Vincent Langer Kids Camp took place for the second time at the Baltic Sea resort of Kellenhusen. This was the 16th kids' camp organised by multiple German champion Vincent Langer. The focus is on individual support for the kids - from beginners to those new to regattas - and having fun. The eleven coaches include many who themselves took part in the camp as kids in the past.

The Kids Camp under the direction of Vincent Langer has once again taken place in Kellenhusen and reached an important milestone. Almost 70 children from all over Germany travelled to the Baltic Sea coast to improve their surfing skills or learn the basics of the sport at the recently opened new surf centre at Wassersport Kellenhusen. With this camp, an impressive total of over 1000 children have taken part in Vincent Langer's Kids Camps to date. The conditions could hardly have been better: Perfect wind conditions and temperatures above 20 degrees made camping and the evening beach games a special experience for all participants.

Individual training in performance-orientated groups

The participants were divided into different groups according to their level of ability to ensure optimal training. A total of eleven coaches looked after the young surfers and ensured that each child was supported according to their abilities. This structured approach enabled both complete beginners and advanced young surfers to make significant progress. The experienced coaches adapted their methods to the individual needs of the different groups and were thus able to ensure the best possible learning success. The personalised coaching in smaller groups proved to be particularly effective, as the children were able to work specifically on their strengths and weaknesses.

Ideal conditions on the Baltic coast

The weather was perfect throughout the camp. The wind conditions were ideal for training the young surfers, which was particularly important for the beginners, who needed controllable yet authentic conditions. With temperatures of over 20 degrees, the summer weather was also pleasant, which not only favoured the surfing itself, but also the activities outside the water. The children were able to spend the night in tents and enjoyed beach games well into the evening. Wassersport Kellenhusen's new surf centre provided the ideal infrastructure for the camp and ensured that all the necessary materials and facilities were available for successful surf training.

Milestone for Vincent Langer's promotion of young talent

The latest Kids Camp in Kellenhusen marks a remarkable milestone in the history of Vincent Langer's youth development programme. A total of over 1000 children have now taken part in his camps, which emphasises the importance and success of this initiative. Over the years, Vincent Langer has established himself as a committed promoter of surfing for children and young people. His camps not only offer the opportunity to learn or improve surfing skills, but also teach important values such as team spirit, perseverance and respect for nature. The success of the camps shows that there is a great need for high-quality training opportunities for young surfers and that Langer's concept is well received by children and parents alike. Vincent is supported at the camps by his long-standing partners Duotone, who provide boards and rigs for testing, as well as Chiemsee and LVM Versicherungen.

Community experience beyond the water

The Kids Camp offered the participants much more than just surfing lessons. The joint activities on the beach and the overnight stays in tents created a strong sense of community among the young athletes. Beach games were organised late into the evening, which were particularly enjoyable in the summer temperatures. These aspects of the camp are just as important as the actual surf training, as they enable the children to make new friends and gain valuable social experience. The combination of sporting activity, experiencing nature and community makes the Kids Camp a holistic experience that goes far beyond simply learning a sport and provides the children with lasting memories.
