"About Time" with Jason Polakow was created as part of a collection called "The Polakow Movies". This collection contained two main videos from Jason Polakow: "KA-1111" and "About Time", as well as additional bonus material from Jason Polakow and the JP team. The Australian was the superstar of the scene at the time, had his own fledgling board brand and was therefore the centre of attention.
What's more, Poli was apparently largely painless: hardly anyone went as far and had as little fear as JP. He redefined waveriding back then - and "About Time" brought his style to the world on VHS and DVD!
Alongside other pros such as Anders Bringdal and Nik Baker, we also see old footage from Jason's childhood - and probably one of the first double loops in windsurfing history, from 1989 (!). The sunglasses from back then are definitely back in fashion! Polakow also goes surfing in Teahupoo and motocrosses.
Hot tip: Don't click away prematurely at the end - the end credits are extremely entertaining!
