After last year's great success, the "Girls on Tour" project centred around PWA rider Pauline Katz is stepping on the gas even more. For 2026, Pauline has presented a full calendar of windsurfing camps especially for women at four selected top European spots. The events will take place in Pozo Izquierdo on Gran Canaria, El Médano on Tenerife, Brouwersdam in the Netherlands and Risco del Paso on Fuerteventura. Each camp is geared towards specific skill levels and disciplines in order to optimally support female windsurfers at different stages of their development. The overarching aim of the initiative remains the same: to get more women on the water, progress together and share enthusiasm for the sport in a supportive atmosphere.

Customised camps for every level

The camps are designed to enable progression at every skill level - always in a motivating, women-only environment. Each location has been specifically selected according to its characteristic conditions and opportunities. The wave camps in El Médano on Tenerife, for example, focus on first wave experiences and the subsequent steps and thus offer ideal conditions for beginners to wave riding. The camps in Pozo Izquierdo on Gran Canaria, on the other hand, are specifically designed to take wave performance to a higher level - a perfect offer for advanced riders who want to develop their skills in more challenging conditions.

In addition to the wave camps, "Girls on Tour" is also offering a special freestyle event in Risco del Paso on Fuerteventura in 2026. This spot is known for its constant wind conditions and flat water - ideal conditions for learning and perfecting freestyle manoeuvres. Brouwersdam in the Netherlands will also host a major event for female windsurfers of all levels, catering for the entire female windsurfing community from beginners to advanced surfers. This event should be of particular interest to European participants who do not want to travel far but still want to benefit from the inspiring atmosphere of the Girls on Tour events.

Community spirit takes centre stage

The philosophy behind "Girls on Tour" goes far beyond simply teaching techniques. The focus is on the community concept: getting out on the water together, motivating each other and making progress in a supportive atmosphere. This approach has proven to be extremely successful in recent years and has contributed to the growing popularity of the events. The camps not only offer technical training, but also create a space in which female windsurfers can exchange experiences, socialise and inspire each other. Especially for women, who are often in the minority at their home spots, the events offer a welcome opportunity to surf with like-minded people and learn new skills in an encouraging environment.
