The legendary One Hour format will be revived at Lake Wittensee: At the "Wittensee Foiling Championship" on 22 and 23 June, professionals and regatta beginners can compete together.

Groß Wittensee is celebrating midsummer on 22 and 23 June, and the Wittensee-Rendsburg Windsurfing Club is taking part with an exciting regatta. The "Wittensee Foiling Championship" is open to all starters, whether windsurfers or wingfoilers. The race will be held in the legendary One Hioer mode: "The One Hour Classic format in windsurfing is an exciting and challenging competitive discipline in which the aim is to complete as many laps as possible within one hour according to certain rules," says a statement from the club. "The participants start at the same time and then try to round the predefined course, which offers both downwind and half-wind courses, as quickly as possible."

In addition to the action on the water, several brands will be presenting their latest products, which can also be tested. "On the evening of the first day of the competition, there will be a small party with music on the lakeshore," the club announced. There will be "a colourful programme of activities for the whole family in the village over the weekend, including a children's party organised by the local fire brigade."
