Women’s windsurfing: The second instalment of the Navela project is here – behind the scenes at the Pozo World Cup
The second episode of the Navela video project is here: the series, launched by Sarah-Quita Offringa and Pauline Katz, aims to shine a spotlight on women in windsurfing. This time, we take a look behind the scenes at the Pozo World Cup.

Following last year’s opening episode from Chile, the Navela series now turns its attention to the iconic event in Pozo. Over a total of four episodes, the series will take a look behind the scenes of the World Cup, focusing on the female competitors. The opening episode, which runs for around eleven minutes, showcases the 2025 event and introduces some of the female riders: Sarah-Quita Offringa, of course, but also Maria Behrens, Lisa Kloster, Sol Degrieck and Daida Moreno, who competed once again at her home spot – and won!

“Men do, of course, have physical advantages; there’s no getting round that,” says coach Dieter van der Eyken, who works with some of the top female riders, including Lina Erpenstein. “But when you look at technique, some women are clearly better than the men!”

This episode of Navela shows the preparations and challenges involved in Pozo, an event that is hugely important for the World Championship rankings. Rocks, gales, brutal conditions – the perfect build-up to the 2026 event, which begins on 4 July!
