A full programme at Südstrand: workshops on equipment and riding techniques, exciting talks and competitions await you at the surf festival - and of course opportunities to party hard!

We have picked out the highlights from the surf festival programme for you! In addition, the German Freestyle Battles and the Racer of the Sea will also be starting - but these contests are of course dependent on the wind, so it is not possible to give an exact time in advance. Numerous manufacturers and partners will also be presenting their new products on stage at the Surf Festival - so there's always something to experience!

Test material to the limit

No one has ever counted how many boards and sails the manufacturers bring to Fehmarn for you every year. But it's definitely a high three-digit number. At Südstrand, you have the unique opportunity to try all of this out in practice free of charge - but also to talk shop with the developers and professionals or get personalised advice. We also always invite representatives from different brands to the stage for an informative talk - which can sometimes lead to controversial discussions. Once again this year, all the big names will be represented on Fehmarn: from brands with a long, successful tradition to absolute newcomers that you rarely get to see - or get under your feet. This year, you can also register for the test online again - another new feature is that the rental process runs without any annoying paperwork.

Bitburger 0.0% SUP Challenge

Fun and sport - that's the Bitburger 0.0% SUP Challenge. The SUP Team Challenge ensures a great atmosphere on the beach and on the water: two teams of four, each on a Big SUP, compete on the course. In addition to lots of fun and honour, the winners of the day will of course receive the perfect refreshment with Bitburger 0.0% and great prizes. The Team Challenge takes place on Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 2 pm. You can register your teams directly at the Bitburger Base on the beach. Of course, you can also get refreshments there at any time or chill out and watch the action on the water. On Saturday at 2 p.m., things get a little more sporty. In the Bitburger 0.0% SUP Challenge Tech Race, experience has shown that the frequency of the participants' strokes is significantly higher. The award ceremony for the best men and women will take place on the main stage at 17:45.

boot Düsseldorf Pumpfoil Jam

For the first time this year, the boot Düsseldorf trade fair is taking part in the surf festival. We are delighted that the largest water sports trade fair has found its way from the exhibition halls to the sandy beach of Fehmarn as a partner of the festival. In addition to a chilled out stand, boot Düsseldorf will be presenting a brand new board sport. At the boot Düsseldorf Pumpfoil Jam on Saturday at twelve o'clock you will be amazed. The participants will be foiling across the Baltic Sea on a tiny board with only good technique and a lot of lard in their legs. It will be spectacular, but probably a lot of fun due to the many exits.

Windsurfer LT Match Race

surf presents Beat your Buddy! We'll provide you with two windsurfer LT boards - you'll then battle it out for a short course on the water and decide who's buying the next round of Bitburger. Fun on the water is everything. Again, you can register at the surf magazine stand - there you will find all further information on times and the programme!

Meet the Magazine: The surf editorial team on site

Of course, the surf editorial team will once again be almost completely at the start - on the beach right next to the beach stage. And we've got a lot for you. In several practical workshops, sailing technique and testing expert Manuel Vogel will show you valuable tips for faster planing, safe harness sailing and the differences between various sailing and board classes. The workshops are of course free of charge and anyone can take part without registering. And last but not least, you can put your questions and opinions to the editors of the magazine at Meet the Magazine on Friday and Saturday at 4 p.m. in a relaxed atmosphere over a drink.

Parties: Open air and in the Haus des Gastes

Good parties have always been part of the festival. In recent years, the performance by top worldcup artist Lina Erpenstein on Friday evening has established itself as an absolute highlight. The number three in the Wave World Cup rankings will drive the sweat out of your pores with her techno house sound. To kick things off on Thursday, DJ Chairgo will play a mash-up of classics, charts and electro beats. DJ Steve Clash will be playing disco, hypes and classics. From 10 p.m. onwards, the party continues into the wee hours every evening at the Surfer's Party in the Haus des Gastes, right next to the festival site. All beach campers have free entry here, for everyone else it is seven euros. The open-air events are of course free of charge for everyone.
