On the fourth day of the Gran Canaria Gloria Windsurf World Cup 2025, it quickly became clear that the conditions would not be good enough for the women's double elimination grand final, so it was the juniors' turn. After the morning was still characterised by clouds and calm, the conditions improved significantly over the course of the day. With a freshening wind and moderate swell, the U13 and U15 fields took to the starting line.
Trine Gobisch was the clear winner in the girls' U15 class. She won both finals and relegated Japan's Fumi Akita to second place. Gobisch impressed both in the air and on the waves: Her combination of forward loops and tabletops in the air as well as her superior wave riding secured her the win - a very promising talent!
The semi-finals for the U15 boys were completed before the conditions deteriorated again. However, the final had to be postponed to a later date. Elías Antolín came out on top in the first semi-final with an outstanding forward loop and versatile riding style. Anton Gobisch secured second place in the final, just ahead of Daniel Dunkerbeck, who was competing for the first time and emulating his father and older brother, who gave him plenty of support.
In the youngest age group, the U13 boys, brothers Dennis and Eric Kolb Gonzalez fought an exciting duel. In the first final race, Dennis clearly beat Eric and Rocco Swift, the son of Robby Swift. The second race was much closer, but Dennis also came out on top in the end.
