From the 5 to 13 July When the inhospitable pile of rubble on Gran Canaria is once again the centre of the windsurfing world, the Gran Canaria Gloria Windsurf World Cup 2025 will take place! Even though only wave riding is on the programme this year, spectacular action in nuclear winds is almost guaranteed!
Together with Citizen, we present you the prediction game for the World Cup in Pozo. Who will win the men's competition? Which lady will end up on top? Submit your predictions and win a Citizen Chrono Eco Drive worth 249,00 Euro! The sporty wristwatch has a black-coated case and a plastic strap. Inside is the in-house Eco-Drive calibre B620 with chronograph function (stopwatch) and date. The diameter is 40 mm and the water resistance is 10 bar (100 metres).
The procedure is very simple: Predict the winners in the men's and women's waveriding! Whoever is correct with at least one tip will be in the draw for the Citizen watch! Only the main fields of the professionals (i.e. not juniors or masters) will be taken into account, the result at the end of the event counts.
You can select the top 10 men and the top 6 women from the past year simply by clicking on them. If your favourite is not included, you can also enter a name afterwards (please make sure it is clear who you mean). As always, legal recourse is excluded, The closing date for entries is 4 July 2025!
Pozo is always good for a surprise! The spot has already produced several world champions and countless top talents - those who can master the extreme conditions can compete with the best in the world. Last year, Pozo-Local Marino Gil Gheradi won, while world champion Marcilio Browne only came ninth - partly due to a curious format. The year before, the young Belgian Sol Degrieck surprisingly knocked out Lina Erpenstein, Philip Köster and Victor Fernandez have also had to give way to others time and again in their careers - and the stylish down-the-line experts from Hawaii have traditionally also struggled.
