The new CEO of the Professional Windsurfers Association took up his post at the beginning of April, and now it's already over. Instead, a new Marketing Manager has come on board.

"The PWA Management Board announces that, with deep regret, we have accepted the resignation of our CEO, Alberto Zschiesche," starts a PWA statement released today. Zschiesche was only officially introduced in April and was primarily intended to give the marketing of the World Tour a new boost. The background to the surprising resignation is said to be growing commitments in his "increasing demands in his professional commitments outside the PWA". However, Zschiesche "intends to remain involved, offering his assistance from a non-executive position."

At the same time, the PWA has announced the appointment of a new Sales & Marketing Manager, Willy Losa. "Over the last months, we have established the initial foundation for the PWA's future strategy. A fundamental part of this process has involved launching strategies and initiatives to attract new revenue streams." Losa will continue to drive this forward.

"While this transition presents challenges, it also gives us the opportunity to assess the structure of the PWA leadership moving forward. The Management Board will take the necessary time to evaluate how best to shape the organization for the future," concludes the PWA statement.
