Philip Köster and Daida Moreno celebrated further home victories, even though the conditions in 2026 didn’t quite match the epic storm events of previous years. But that didn’t dampen the excitement; some of the heats were closer than ever before: Sarah-Quita Offringa narrowly avoided an early exit, whilst Philip Köster secured his ninth victory overall with a massive backloop in the very last second of the final.
Among the juniors, who traditionally have a strong showing in Pozo, the heats were top-class and incredibly exciting. With Sol Degrieck, Carlos Kiefer and Anton Richter, several riders finished in the top places – riders who are already right up there with the best in the professional fields. And with Daniel Dunkerbeck and Dani Skye Alonso, the next generation of windsurfers is already on the starting line.
