If you don't want any surprises, you've been on the safe side for years with the JP-Australia Supersport. The board is easy to ride and combines well with the foil.

The board with its harmonious outline, even volume distribution and moderate length of 2.34 metres proves to be well-balanced all round - and is also particularly easy to surf and jibe. And what a Fanatic Jag can get out of the Supersport in terms of half a knot more at top speed can certainly be teased out with a fin upgrade. The 44 G-10 fin works well - apart from the occasional slight loss of grip - but is certainly not the end of all options.

The underwater hull has a slight, flat V in the fin area, which becomes visibly more pronounced up to the mast track. The double concaves, on the other hand, remain very moderate throughout. Despite the hollow in the deck, the volume distribution is even and well suited for turning. The rear loops are far enough out for freeracing, but with enough space and a good angle in the deck shape to slip in easily even with larger feet. The JP is the first to sprint out of the star block and is exceptionally fast, especially in the medium wind range. The manoeuvring characteristics are also top: sporty carving jibes are possible with the best grip and speed.

Surf summary of the JP-Australia Supersport 122 LXT:

Easy to surf top freeracer with good foil suitability.

Speed, comfort, sporty carving jibes
