With slightly more length than average and the mast track installed around two centimetres further forward, the F-Race glides flat over the water and is extremely stable around all axes. On the one hand, this ensures excellent controllability, but in the upper wind range, dedicated freeracers might want the board to be a little freer in order to tease out the last knot of top speed.
In higher choppy waves, the F-Race occasionally touches the crest of a wave or two. Nevertheless, the shape with the lowest V and the barely visible double concave provides a lot of comfort due to the extremely stable planing position. The extremely thick foot pads, which are pulled very far around the rail, also contribute to this, so that even large feet are well cushioned. Surfers who are worried about unintentional wheelies at top speed are also safe and in good hands on the Patrik. Even when overpowered, the board provides maximum safety when other shapes start to wobble nervously.
In order to steer the board from the stable planing position into the jibe, more foot pressure and physical effort is required. Then it doesn't turn very tightly, but keeps good speed in fast carving jibes and is very controlled on the edge.
A particularly easy to surf, comfortable freerace board.
