From pioneer to classic - the Tabou Rocket+ has been part of the Freerace group for several seasons now. With its slightly modified concaves, it doesn't seem to be getting on in years.

As fresh and lively as ever, the board is a little more demanding but consistently powerful. It lies wide and thin on the water when bobbing, then takes off like a flying fish with rapid acceleration and flies particularly freely over the chop in this board class. Proper body tension, from the toes to the harness hook, is a good way to elicit very good controllability from the board - because it flies over everything: Not as strenuous as a slalom board, but faster than any freeride slope. The acceleration is impressive and even in light winds, the board releases early and feels very fast. It does not stabilise itself in automatic mode, but can be steered sensitively with little pressure and kept on course. The Rocket+ glides just as agilely and light-footedly into the jibe. Guidance is also required here, but with a good feel in the ankle, the board allows both variable, tight radii and also wide, fast carving jibes with body planing and plenty of edge in the water.

Surf summary of the Tabou Rocket+ 123 Team

The Rocket+ proves to be a very sporty freerace board and is particularly suitable for surfers who mount the straps on the outside and want to accelerate with fast (camber) sails.
